In 2023, Sheri Fox dove headfirst into painting and collage. Through these media, she enjoys a freedom that engages all of her senses, and this engagement makes its way into her vibrant, multi-layered artwork. Using acrylic paint, collage papers, and a variety of tools, she layers and excavates materials until the piece tells her what it wants to be, at which point she uses more considered detail to bring it to life. Imagery from nature, a fascination with contrasting textures, and a love of experimentation have always inspired her artwork. Though the medium may continually change, this thread remains clear.
